Hi Frances, I am new to squidoo as well. A lens is like your online blog only its more than that. A lens is your space on Squidoo, and you can build as many lenses you want.The more lenses the better for you.

 

You can create lenses for making money, lenses for sharing information, or lenses to store your own information-links, products, etc. Squidoo is great for simple branding of authority, tool.

For me it is just fun to try something new.
